Crowdsourced Oral Histories of South Asia's Partition
Lore, the global storytelling app. Lore codifies our proven web-based protocol for crowdsourcing oral histories of Partition witnesses from around the world, into a phone app. Lore will make the recording and sharing or video based oral histories accessible to users anytime, anywhere and in any language and for any event. Lore uses concepts of gamification and the latest research in consumer trends with online video to create virality for the recorded videos, similar to Instagram. Lore helps create cross cultural empathy and appreciation for one another through the ancient art of storytelling, while also recording the people's history. Lore essentially will automate and rapidly expand the impact of our existing "paper and pen" process that has gained traction globally. With Lore, anyone, anywhere with a smart phone can record and publicly share oral histories which are also text searchable and tagged for global events across time and geography.
