Thalamus was established by a grassroots collaboration of medical students, physicians and administrators to address the inefficiencies in the Graduate Medical Education (GME) recruitment process. Applicants may instantaneously confirm interview dates, take full control of schedules and decrease travel costs. For administrators, Thalamus streamlines communication by allowing applicants to self-schedule interviews, thereby eliminating unnecessary phone calls and emails. The software handles all of the confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling, so administrators can focus on the “personal touch” and optimize candidate recruitment.
