At Terero, we are working towards changing the Defence and Heavy Vehicle industry landscape in India by establishing the complete end-to-end in-house design to manufacturing capabilities for modern unmanned heavy vehicles. The work at Terero would involve all the aspects of developing a complex product from scratch in a fast paced and execution oriented environment. Our flagship product, the Cargo Ground Buildup System (CGBS) is a compact unmanned heavy vehicle coupled with a load handling mechanism to perform material handling operations in harsh environments. It involves the development of complete structural, automotive and embedded hardware and control software stack. Having developed the draft design of the vehicle, based on which we’ve partnered with Lockheed Martin, our current focus is on developing a scaled-down functional prototype of the vehicle that itself will weigh ~1.7 tons and will haul 3 tons of cargo. In this process, we aim to build a strong multidisciplinary team of engineers and product managers as well as establish a state-of-the-art infrastructure for heavy vehicle development which would form a foundation for our future plans and products. We are also one of the 16 awardees of India Innovation Growth Programme (IIGP) 2.0 2019 jointly organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Indian Government, Tata Trusts and Lockheed Martin.
