TempUs (name to be changed and IT Assets to be set up) is an early-stage start-up with visions to democratise the haulage industry. TempUs is the vision of a 25-year experienced haulage driver who knows the industry inside and out and knows first-hand how poorly technology is applied. Paper is pervasive, there is excessive admin, poor communication and middlemen thriving everywhere. It is an industry ripe for disruption. TempUs provides operational simplicity to transport agencies when outsourcing their jobs to either agencies or direct to drivers. This outsourcing market is worth £19 billion per year. TempUs have bought in an experienced management team, with a track record of exiting businesses, including a chairman who was former COO of a FTSE 50 company and a CEO who in the last 2-years led a successful exit of a technology backed logistics business, selling to Bain Capital.
