Tandem Medical careers

Tandem is a web-based software that aims to revolutionize ER communications. The UI consists of a dashboard that allows users to identify and track issues that crop up during their workflows, similar to an IT ticketing system. However, in Tandem, each task item doubles as a group chat, similar to GroupMe or Facebook Messenger, which allows staff to quickly communicate to resolve these issues.

The application is a combination of two separate concepts:

Role-based communication: Tandem uses an EHR interface combined with a real-time staff directory to automatically distribute messages to the right person based on their role in the hospital, without the sender having to know who that might be.

Task-based communication: Tandem breaks down messages into what we call “Tasks,” which are temporary group chats that include all relevant parties needed to solve an issue. Staff are able to track tasks from their inception to their resolution, at which point they disappear from everyone’s feed.
