sySTEMic Flow careers

sySTEMic Flow will expose young women of color in Boston to the opportunities STEM offers and retain their interest while they are in high school, during their undergraduate career and even as alumna of the program. Code Switch aims to empower women of color to purse degrees in STEM while helping them confront the kinds of interactions and experiences they will face in these industries through enrichment classes and skill-focused seminars that tackles social issues as well as gain practical skills outside the classroom setting. Our long-term impact essential has a dual functionality: (1) increasing the STEM diversity globally and having women of color be the forefront leaders in these industries and (2) improve economic opportunities for women of color. While Code Switch alone cannot completely remove all of the barriers women of color will face, we can lessen their impact through academic support, mentorship and fellowship.
