The company swarmin.ai is building a new AI platform that flips the traditional way of thinking about Machine Learning. User data never leaves their devices. We use a combination of distributed modeling techniques, and massively concurrent distributed processing, to build aggregated ML models while not aggregating PII / sensitive data on a server. The company is founded by veterans from Apple and Google, with experience in building some of the most scalable ML applications in the industry. The role We are looking for interns to work on critical early stage projects in our company. You will get the opportunity to make fundamental early stage contributions to the full stack at a potentially transformative silicon valley startup. Be part of a team working on the following technologies: 1. Machine learning platform Design and implement a new incremental training and decisoning system for edge devices including mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, computers and connected vehicles, while maintaining SDK compatibility with prevalent ML platforms. 2. Client / server concurrency protocol Architect and implement a massively concurrent edge protocol that enables highly parallelized training of models on a backplane of a secure network to mitigate the risks due to any malicious actors. 3. iOS / Android SDK Provide integration SDKs for iOS, Android and other edge operating systems that provide compatibility with TensorFlow, PyTorch and other ML platforms. Qualifications • On track towards a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field. • Demonstrated skills (via internships and projects) in one of more of Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, or Mobile App development. • Keenness to work in an early stage startup environment and build a transformative new product.
