There is a pandemic of loneliness sweeping around the world - research from the likes of Statista and Ipsos show that as many as 2.6 billion around the world live in a state of frequent or constant loneliness. % likelihood of frequent or constant loneliness increases in younger demographics, to almost 80% in Gen Z. There has never been a company that has successfully solved the 'new friends' conundrum - they have been hamstrung by insufficient understanding of the incentives underpinning friendship; inability to productise for that understanding; high friction UI; and variable safety. We've cracked the code. By using AI/NLP technology, we can get right to the heart of a user's intent and match them not only with people who are obvious fits, but people who they didn't even know they'd be interested in. Our tech allows us to create a super-smooth UX, where a user can make a new friend in three taps (so-long to long, laborious profile set-up!). And we've made safety the utmost priority, making this a platform where everyone can stretch their wings. We’re in a pivotal position right now – we have a waitlist that’s seen uptake in 40+ countries; we've got an MVP that’s more than halfway complete with core technology already performing to a high standard; we have brilliant advisors; and we’re in the thick of discussions with investors interested in participating in our first round. We need someone brilliant to replace our former CTO and get us the rest of the way up.
