Supported Intelligence LLC is a startup company built on the experience of over 15 years of professional consulting for large and small businesses, universities, trade associations, and governments. The atmosphere is both intellectually demanding and managerially challenging. We are developing the next generation of decision support software, and are looking for a very few, very skilled, people to help us do it. There are a few things that are important for potential employees to know: --Because we work so often with real clients, our employees must be professional. --Starting with the founder and continuing with the developers of version 1 and 1.2, we have insisted on strong theoretical basis for our work, and fully documenting the software so that users can understand what they are doing and why. --As this is a new kind of software, the development of the user interface, and even the language used to describe the inputs and output, needs special attention. --Our current product line is available only on a power user platform. However, we expect that will change in the future. Until then, we do require that our employees be able to actually use the software. If you are interested in working for us, please make sure you communicate that effectively by doing the following: --Use the software, even if you use it on a trial basis. --Read some of the material on the website, one or more technical papers featured there or part of Patrick Anderson's book Economics of Business Valuation. --Tell us about the software and the written materials in a letter. Describe what you found interesting, exciting, powerful, confusing, or otherwise noteworthy about these, and what you would do with that information if you had the opportunity to work with us.
