Culture and benefits at Success at School

Culture overview

What types of people do we tend to hire? Success at School tends to hire very driven and motivated individuals who enjoy a significant amount of work autonomy. Our people tend to think creatively and are actively encouraged to bring forward opinions and new ideas and are confident to ask questions. Due to the nature of work, individuals tend to be very well organised and efficient in terms of time management. As an SME, we look to hire individuals who are ‘not afraid to get their hand’s dirty’ supporting projects that may be outside their pre-defined job spec. Our people are friendly and supportive, you can always count on someone to help you no matter the task or time of day. Team members tend to be ‘do-ers’ - if they have an idea, they are actively encouraged to explore and try out the idea and attack any problems head-on. How do meetings and stand-ups work? What types of rituals do we have? Every Tuesday morning we have a weekly briefing. Here each person briefly discusses their objectives for the week, highlights any projects where they may need assistance and discusses their ‘wins’ from the previous week. In these briefings, we discuss new product ideas, company growth/profits, and pencil in time with each other for any projects. Team members also have weekly meetings with their respective managers to discuss targets as well personal and professional development. What do people do in their spare time? An active lifestyle is certainly a common interest amongst all Success at School staff. The team takes a lot of pride in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Team members also tend to have a range of interests, whether it be drawing/painting, enjoying trips to the theatre or hiking a mountain. Staying up-to-date on world affairs is also a common interest amongst our team - we all regularly share insightful articles, podcasts, books and new recommendations with each other often not directly related to work
