Studio6 (s6.xyz) is a crypto venture studio in Los Angeles that has been founded by Capital6 (capital6.com), the family office of one of the original technical Bitcoiners, Peter Vessenes.

Peter founded the first VC-backed Bitcoin company in 2011, invented the structure that allowed Bitcoin to organize while avoiding government regulation (The Bitcoin Foundation), started the first custom ASIC company to deploy modern mining rigs in 2012, started the first ICO investment bank in 2016 (from $0 to ~$2bn in value in 2 years with no outside capital) and publicized the attack that led to the largest crypto hack of all time (the DAO hack).

Studio6 creates, launches, and iterates new projects, focussing on the heavy lift of technical and market risks to get to product-market fit, then passing on what we've built to a team or company to manage and grow. If you have a high level of conviction in any project, you can stick with it after it’s spun out, or stay in the studio and keep experimenting.

Our founder and core team are deeply embedded in the crypto industry and constantly working on interesting strategic launches that are highly valuable, ethical and intellectually interesting.

We would rather push code than whiteboard code, we are focused on getting product-market fit first. We believe in incurring some technical debt on our way to launch. We like T shaped people - a lot of general interest + high interest in crypto + some deep skills.
