Studio Management is a data-driven asset manager investing across public equities and venture capital.


As public market investors, we’ve posted top decile returns using our data-driven approach. Prior to Studio, our Managing Partner Alap Shah founded Sentieo, an AI-driven financial information terminal leveraging deep search and alternative data to drive investment alpha across public and private markets. Sentieo is used by over 1,000 investment funds today and functions as the operating system for Studio’s data-driven investment process.



As venture investors, we finance value-aligned startups across stages (pre-seed to Series B) and sectors (consumer, enterprise SaaS, web3), leveraging our experience as entrepreneurs. Our Partner Johnny Hwin is an artist, serial entrepreneur, and early consultant/investor/advisor at Asana, Lever, and Patreon respectively. Companies we’ve co- founded have collectively raised over $90MM in venture capital since 2015 and have scaled to over 1,000 employees. We marry this experience as entrepreneurs with our data-driven approach as investors to identify startups advancing societal health, productivity, and well-being.



Our Co-Investment Platform helps investors gain access to high-growth venture opportunities vetted through our extensive data-driven diligence process.


We've backed a number of high growth startups including Thistle, DocSend, Lightning Labs, Jane Technologies, and Super Coffee.



Over the last 7 years, we've deployed over $35M into venture investments and company incubation, including $20M over the last two years as we've scaled the practice.
