Imagine being a college student, you’re working two jobs, paying your bills, going to class, and doing your absolute best to have a social life with all that you’ve got going on. Part of the social aspect of the college experience is, of course, attending sporting events. So let’s say you find money in your budget to go to one of these games, you take time off work, and you go to buy a ticket because you didn’t get one from the school. The person that you’re buying it from then just takes your money and you’re out not only the cash you lost, but the time and bonding experience as well. This is where the idea of Student Seats came from. My name is John Ritondo and I am the Co-Founder of Student Seats and I believe that college students deserve better. In making student seats, Jared and I envisioned a website that was made for students and by students. We saw and experienced many college students having their money taken from predators who took advantage on the uniqueness that is college sports in the United States. This idea grew faster than we ever thought possible. To date, we have had 1500+ successful transactions with 8000 unique users in only our second year of being operational for ONLY home games at The University of Alabama. Student Seats is here to say, that college students deserves better. Thank you.
