At StoryBox, we believe that our team members can create the world in which we want to live. As an example, last week we talked about how important it is to take time away from work to recharge, rejuvenate, and find inspiration. By the end of the meeting, we agreed that everyone in the company should have 3 weeks vacation (previously 2), and that our goal should be to eventually support 5 weeks of vacation...because that's the world we want to live in. Another example: a few months ago, as a team we talked about how important communication is - both inside and outside of the office. The next week we started having a communication coach come in on a weekly basis so we could learn how to more effectively communicate - with each other, with our customers, with our family, and our friends. This extends to every aspect of the company - meditation training, so that we can be present in our jobs and in our personal lives; weekly group exercises so we can be our best selves and have time together outside of the office; frequent get togethers. As a team, our commitment to each other is to challenge and support each team member to be their best self. We know this will not only help us succeed as a company, but as individuals inside and outside of the office.
