StormPins careers

StormPins is changing the way cities communicate during severe weather and breaking news. Instead of just reporting events we link the entire city on one social platform to help the city agencies respond and recover. Stormpins a crowdsourcing breaking news app that allows app users and TV broadcasters to take pictures, video and 2-way chat and use it live on air. We also add local police, fire, emergency managers and utilities to the platform to have a city wide social network for emergency communication.

The value add for TV media is to have their own branded social product and reduce their dependence on Facebook and Twitter where possible. TV News is finally aware they need to build their own digital strategy rather than find themselves at Facebook's mercy. We build tools for TV News to compete in the digital/social arena. In fall 2015 we launch a crowdsourced News App for TV.

Since June 2014 we have made $567,000 of new revenue at 4 TV stations and we charge 20-30% Rev Share.
