STEM Search Group careers
We are technical recruiting specialists offering Placement as a Service; combining contingent search with elements of retained search, and a SaaS-inspired pricing model.
We started STEM Search Group because we love the world of technical recruiting, but felt as though we had not yet seen a model where clients, candidates, and the recruitment agency all "won." Clients were stuck paying large fees with tiny guarantees which places very little accountability on the recruiting firm. That left going the retained route where money is required before the search or settling for contingency search service that can’t keep up with niche technical recruiting.
Candidates were getting placed and forgotten about because the model didn't promote continuous follow-up (on to the next search, right?). Recruiters were often being micromanaged by the week, even by the day, to where their company cared more about the number of people contacted vs. the number of relationships built that day. Something had to give.
So, we took what was broken, what we liked, looked at other industries, and developed what we call Placement as a Service. Basically, we wanted the flexibility of contingent search, combined that with service elements from our retained background, and then implemented a SaaS-inspired pricing model. We only concentrate on direct hire/permanent placements, so there are never any hidden motives to keep someone on contract (trust us, that happens a lot in the contingent world when a company does both perm and contract recruiting).
By offering a SaaS-like distributed payment model, companies' risk would be minimalized, they could keep their capital working for them, and candidates could trust that the recruiter they were working with was not in it for a quick hit, but instead motivated by fit.
We believe our Placement as a Service model will be a game-changer for high-tech, high-growth companies.
