We have a distributed architecture with Web Application component in Grails, Backends in Spring/Java and middleware components like ZooKeeper, HornetQ. We manage our own infrastructure based on Ubuntu servers. What are we looking for: • Excellence in previous work. Demonstrate clear impact on what you did. (Include both professional experience and personal projects if applicable) • Ambition to become a leader and build a team. Probably even build your own company later. • Java expertise (Multithreading knowledge is a must). • Direct experience of working Java based middleware like HornetQ (any other Message Bus), ZooKeeper, etc. • Database Expertiese (Both SQL and No-SQL). We use MySQL for frontend and Redis for backend instances. • Understanding of JVM performance tuning ( We choose our own machines. We need you to decide what kind of servers should run what.) • Understanding of Test-Driven Development ( TDD) and testing. • Previous experience of writing Fault tolerant software or understanding how to. • Process and Performance Measurement ( Demonstrate the impact you are making to your current job and tell how you measure it. We are talking numbers. The right guys know which numbers ;-) ) • Akka & Scala Knowledge would be good. Our next-gen architecture is going to based on Akka.
