Springboard closes the literacy gap by closing the gap between home and school. We envision a world in which all children have the literacy skills to access life opportunities.

Springboard offers summer and afterschool programs that combine targeted reading instruction for PreK-3rd graders; weekly workshops training parents to teach reading at home; and an incentive structure that awards learning tools to families—from books to tablets—in proportion to their kids’ reading progress.

Springboard's goal is to catalyze a culture shift in the national education field, making family engagement a matter of course. To move toward this vision, we're leveraging technology to build an app that will help families develop and maintain home literacy habits.

We have spent the last 5 years learning how do this in person and on paper. Tech will enable us to provide our service at far greater scale. We are currently split testing an app and chatbot to determine which tool drives greater engagement.
