On September 25, 2015, Genimous Investment announced that it was acquiring a 100% interest in Spigot, Inc for US $252 million. Genimous announced that acquiring Spigot Inc would enable Genimous to grow into an international mobile internet company integrating a portal site with an operating platform. On May 27, 2016, Genimous announced the completed acquisition of Spigot Inc. Spigot Inc now runs as a wholly owned subsidiary of Genimous.
