Soma Capital invests in technology companies. Aneel Ranadive has built apps for 10 years and works with father Vivek Ranadive, founder of Tibco (sold for 4.3bn). Tibco software (big data, analytics, event processing and cloud services) originally digitized Wall Street and powers 80% of Fortune 500 co's including many of the biggest banks, airlines, retailers, hotels, casinos, and government services. Vivek has also been involved seed investing and helping at the early stage with all time greats like Google, Yahoo, Salesforce and Ebay.

Soma Capital has a very deep rolodex of CEO-level relationships with some of the biggest brands in the world and makes strategic introductions to portfolio companies. Ranadive is also owner of the Sacramento Kings (NBA basketball) providing many influential relationships in sports and entertainment.
