Our mission is to help marginalized people improve their lives through work. Our first "product" was a code school for refugees in Greece. Now we're looking to expand our operations to South Africa and replicate the success that we found in Europe. We believe this is an important mission because today's humanitarian aid community is bureaucratic, slow-moving, and ultimately not financially sustainable. That's why we're applying market-based thinking and innovation from Silicon Valley to the same problems that organizations like the UNHCR and Red Cross are trying to solve. Our goal is to create a model that can be scale all over the world. But that big, hairy, audacious goal starts with 10 students.
