Skycision is a three-year-old, Seed-Stage Software-as-a-Service startup based out of Pittsburgh, PA and Santa Cruz, CA serving the global agriculture industry. We are on a mission to help the agriculture industry capture and leverage field-based intelligence to improve farm production and profitability. Today we do that by acquiring drone-based, and satellite-collected spectral imagery, that monitors light spectrum non-visible to the human eye in order to rapidly identify the effects of pests, disease or other forms of stress on a farmer’s fields days to weeks earlier than what would be capable with the naked eye alone. Skycision has deployed across thousands of acres of U.S. farmland, with growth continuing to accelerate by the day. We’ve been featured in the likes of Forbes, TechCrunch, the Wall Street Journal and have raised over $1M in venture capital funding since our inception.
