Skills.com is a platform and community focused on developing and sharing the world's practical skills. The Skills.com platform is based on a new social learning model that applies the sharing-economy mindset to building new skills. Skills.com launched its MVP in April at the UpSkill summit at the White House and recently released an iOS and an Android applications.

The opportunity for Skills.com is to capitalize on the growing skills shortages and mismatches between the skills demands of employers and the availability of those skills in the market, commonly known as the skills gap.

Skills.com was founded by Tammy Johns, a recognized thought leader in global labor markets who spent 20 years on the Executive Management team at ManpowerGroup and who is a HBR author and a Visiting Scholar at MIT’s Center for Collective Intelligence and Jack Hughes, a serial technology entrepreneur who founded and built TopCoder into the world’s largest community of software and creative professionals.
