Sequestr is building infrastructure for the carbon economy to scale up the number of carbon removal projects long term. We’ve found a great signal on the supply side from carbon removal projects and their landowners, who want to manage their own carbon financing on flexible and more favourable terms. Today, there are a lot of brokers and intermediaries in the process, so at the end of the day, each project is getting 35 cents on the dollar. We’re enabling a higher amount of financing to go directly to the projects by creating a managed marketplace to increase the success of supply and true price discovery, a futures market for better price normalization, and a secondary market to get in and out of the carbon markets really quickly. On the demand side, there are a lot of dollars waiting on the sideline until infrastructures such as a futures market and a secondary market exist. We are connected to funds that have raised over $500m but cannot invest it due to market illiquidity. We will make the market more efficient with better data availability and financial infrastructure. We have a pipeline of 30+ projects focused on regenerative agriculture, reforestation, forest conservation, and agroforestry. These projects span five continents and cover over 250,000 acres of land, sequester 30M tonnes of CO2 over 30 years, and generate more than $500M in offsets. Furthermore, many of these projects are highly scalable once operational, scaling up to 10,000,000 acres of land, sequestering over 1,200M tonnes of CO2 over 30 years, and generating more than $20B in offsets.
