Fitness trackers and wearables do a poor job of helping users get in better shape. They provide estimates of step counts, calories and can track how far you walked/ran/biked, but what about the user who wants to get a bit more serious? There is no wearable for the gym rat. There is no fitness tracker for lifting weights, building muscle or to help a user reach a specific fitness goal other than "lose weight" or "stay active"

SensorKit is a software platform that enables wearables and fitness tech to detect user’s exercises, activities and gestures. We built YouMove, a fitness app that detects specific exercises such as bench presses and squats, counts reps, sets and resting times and does so live and continuously without telling it anything ahead of time.
