The problem is that the entertainment needs of those that love Indian classical music are significantly under-served. This is an untapped US$ 1.5 Billion and growing 36 million worldwide market of people who do not have easy access to the genre.

Saarey has launched Saarey Music – a music streaming app for this genre available worldwide with rare and exclusive content not available anywhere else. We are able to ensure exclusivity as we hold rights to ~85-90% of the available recorded music from 1960 to now coming from Pakistan which translates into ~19% of available music in this genre worldwide. Saarey Music users can choose between a monthly, half-yearly and yearly plan with bespoke pricing for each market. Subscribers can pay with their visa/mastercard, itunes account or google play account.

Led by founder and CEO Faraan Irfan, a 15+ year veteran in this industry and a Global MBA with honours from Columbia Business School, London Business School and Hong Kong University, the small team is a great mix of domain experts which includes Deven, a serial entrepreneur, Nick, a former Spotify subscription manager who helped grow its subscriptions by 2x and Jim, a former Apple Music and iTunes marketing expert.
