Run An Empire careers

Run An Empire is a Free-to-Play territory control game for runners, joggers and walkers, played in the real world. Players compete against friends and neighbours to build the greatest empire, conquering new lands by encircling them more than their opponents.

A winner of the 2014 Active Lifestyles Geovation Challenge, we were awarded £26,000 and raised a further £23,000 on Kickstarter. We then joined Bethnal Green Ventures and in late 2015 we raised £123,000 through and SEIS-eligible raise on Crowdcube. The campaign overfunded and we were named Crowdcube's Best Startup of 2015.

We’re currently live in two markets, going to #1 in the NZ AppStore (Health & Fitness) in the first few weeks. We followed that with a UK Top 10 ranking (H&F) and Apple's Hot This week feature in the UK. We now have over 15,000 installs across UK, NZ and our beta audience - with an AppStore rating of 4.5. Our retention metrics currently match free to play industry standards on 1, 7, and 30 day retention.
