• The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Build a classroom culture of excellence and deliver rigorous instruction by building content expertise in humanities or STEM

• Has experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and is knowledgeable about how to lead an IEP meeting
• A fierce advocate for themselves, students and families

• Motivate students to participate in learning activities; create a positive student culture; maintain high behavioral expectations for all students
• Follow network guidelines for curriculum (scope and sequence maps, unit plans, lesson plans) and adapt when necessary to meet the needs of your students

• Under the direction of the special education case manager, implement individual and small group instruction for students with special education needs
• Collaborate with students’ case managers to assess student progress towards goals on a consistent basis; communicate student progress with case managers and general education teachers

• Support the Rocketship mission, vision and strategy for facilities and how it supports the schools and ultimately the communities that Rocketship serves
• Campus & Office Maintenance:

Create and manage work order system and respond to request within the schools - Collaborate with BOM/RDO/Facilities Director on vendors for elevation of work order with contractors and vendors - Solve issues identified during routine Preventative Maintenance Inspections and quarterly audits - Complete minor repairs relating to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire / life safety systems - Complete specific recurring maintenance tasks across all campuses, e.g. power washing, touching up paint, etc. - Supports special projects as directed by the Facilities Asset Manager - Procure repair parts, materials, tools, and equipment within budget and approved by Facilities Asset Manager - Support campuses by responding to facilities emergencies directly and/or working with vendors- Conduct routine inspections of all campuses and offices to ensure functionality of equipment and maintenance of school campus facility standards

• Motivate students to participate in learning activities; create a positive student culture; maintain high behavioral expectations for all students
• Follow network guidelines for curriculum (scope and sequence maps, unit plans, lesson plans) and adapt when necessary to meet the needs of your students (PE, Science, Art)

• Provide direct treatment to student’s speech production, vocal production, and language needs through speech therapy.
• Deliver pre-referral speech/language interventions in Tier 1 and Tier 2 - a speech RTI program.
