RISE was established in 2020 with aim to make education more accessible in India. Research shows that India will need 540M digitally skilled professionals by 2025. However, currently India has only 60M such individuals with only 37.5M attending brick and mortar colleges. India is in dire need of avenues other than traditional education systems that can help young students and professionals gain access to industry driven and academically rigorous content. Hence, RISE provides a platform to a. Universities to increase their reach by enabling them to go digital. b. working professionals across the world to gain industry driven skills. In the first year of operations, RISE has acquired over 1100 students and launched courses in the areas of Science, Technology and Management. RISE has close to 90 members working pan-India.
