Happier tenants can lead to longer leases and increased word of mouth marketing for landlords. Better information can lead to improved quality of life for the nearly 70% of New Yorkers who rent apartments.

We're on a mission to solve the current problems plaguing the rental market in our beloved city. All too often, apartment buildings are shrouded in secrecy. You walk in for a tour of the apartment with a broker, sign a substantial check for a security deposit, plus first month's rent, plus a broker’s fee, and within 15 minutes, you’re on the hook for thousands of dollars...and that’s before you even move in.

We’ve launched our RentStories blog and podcast to provide thought leadership and informative articles on tenant needs, renter’s rights, and the rental marketplace. On our podcast we interview interesting New Yorkers who share their experiences as tenants in NYC.

All with the goal of taking the mystery out of signing a lease by bringing transparency to the market.
