Rent My Wardrobe is a mobile app based platform that facilitates a peer-to-peer exchange for women’s fashion. If Rent the Runway and Poshmark were married, Rent My Wardrobe would be it's child. The app is different from other p2p fashion rental models because the features contemplate and allow for direct, in person exchange, alleviating warehouse, shipping, and dry cleaning logistics. This provides a substantially higher monetization opportunity for the end user, and allows for massive growth and scalability of the concept. Lenders have autonomy to set unique dry cleaning/ exchange preferences for each listing. Damage protection is automatically included with each rental and users process transactions through the app to ensure the item is returned in same condition. Exchanges are driven by user rating and two way feedback on each transaction. The app generates revenue by assessing a small service charge for renters, while retaining percentage of the commision paid out to lenders.
