Renovisor.com is the first online marketplace for freelance consultants in the home improvement industry. Through its unique and easy-to-use platform, verified experts can provide customized advice and guidance to homeowners for their specific renovation needs. Unlike contractor listing sites, Renovisor advocates on behalf of the homeowner by providing professional assistance before, during, and after each home improvement project. We're currently looking for a third co-founder to serve as CTO. The CEO is a construction veteran with over 20 years of experience in commercial and residential home improvement services. The COO is a marketing and operations specialist with over 8 years of experience in business process optimization and scaling. CTO Responsibilities/Qualities: - Establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the company’s technological development. - Participate in directing the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. - Lead rapid development and completion of design and development of site under aggressive timelines. - Utilize ingenuity and inventive thinking to evaluate options for design and deriving the best solutions based on sound analytical judgment, team input, and the customers’ best interest. - Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, PHP. - Help scale our product to a large number of users. - Years of experience matter less than demonstrable ability and passion. - An interest in changing the home improvement market is a plus! - Have some track record with previous startup(s) or recognizable company; appropriate pedigree for this position. - Be able to clearly communicate in public and represent Renovisor as its CTO. - Super smart, but with a great attitude and personality, as well. - Strong desire to work for a startup. - Must be able to commit to at least 15-20 hours per week now, with the intent of going full-time as the company grows. - Down the road, the company aims to be a turnkey service for home improvement projects (e.g., requires algor
