RAV Antivirus was founded in 1994 to primarily meet the growing security needs of internet service providers and Linux users. Within just a few years of it's inception, RAV established an impressive global presence and became the anti-virus of choice for millions of users worldwide. In mid 2003, RAV's technology and development team was acquired by Microsoft in a transaction that made headlines in the technology space and firmly positioned GECAD a a major international technology group.
