We're headed for a world where AI is likely to do all our knowledge work.

In fact, in the near future we’ll be interacting with AI similar to how we interact with other humans, and it will be how things happen in the world — by delegating ideas to agents.

Today, AI models can already generate useful bits of knowledge work (eg. code/docs/images). There is starting to be some reliability around using them for multi-step workflows, that can scale to areas like negotiation & trade. For this kind of future, we’ll want a communication product that feels as familiar as a chat interface, with the dexterity of a browser.

So the idea behind Q is to offer a command center from where you can interact with different agents, featuring dynamic controls tailored for interaction with ai-produced artifacts.
