Our founder previously launched a successful company in Europe in the space of career counseling, raising over $1,5 mln in seed funding. We have made mistakes, failed, pivoted and succeeded. Throughout our time at the Harvard Graduate school of education, we came up with Purposely. A solution to the guidance gap in education. With an average of 500 students per counselor, students are not getting the necessary support to pursue their educational goals and dreams! The gap is growing with private consultancy firms offering services at hundreds of dollars an hour. At the same time, teachers and school counselors often are forced to take on extra part-time jobs. By attracting graduate students and school counselors to offer services at an hourly rate, we are planning to build a global marketplace, serving the counseling needs of students across the globe. The current education consultancy market in the US alone is $2bn, with the global market size reaching $10 bln annually.
