Sub-Saharan Africa start-up fund transforming Africa, solving difficult problems
Proventures Capital is VC fund focusing on seed and early-stage ventures in Sub-Saharan Africa to fund African Start-ups that have the potential to transform Africa and solve difficult problems. Although the fund is sector-agnostic, typical areas are found in Agriculture, Construction, Food and Distribution Education, Healthcare, Technology and Water. The fund is deliberately biased towards high growth technology initiatives in those areas.
The fund is initially focused to fill the institutional void between early stage/angel and venture capital investment gap that currently exists in Africa. This objective shall be achieved by a combination of the provision of;
 Network of Mentors drawing from a worldwide pool
 A selective, tailor-made Accelerator program for the African
 Accelerator to focused key areas identified as needed for Africa
 A follow up on Seed Capital post Accelerator programme
The goal is to identify passionate and talented Entrepreneurs with the vision drive and business potential to significantly improve the African Landscape and help them in turn realise their dreams by provision of;
