At ProctorExam, we are building examination software for the next generation of Online Education. Our web based software allows students to take a certified exam from the comfort of their own home, and allows students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to finish their courses to complete their education. We are alumni of The Startup Bootcamp Accelerator, and have raised 100,000 euro in funding. Our platform is built on top of Ruby on Rails, and utilizes bleeding edge technology such as ActionController::Live, WebRTC, and React.js. We expect the candidate to have a working knowledge of different web development frameworks, software engineering best-practices, version control, and working paradigms such as Agile and Scrum. As a Software Engineer at ProctorExam, you will be joining a rapidly moving startup company where you will be required to work in many different roles. We are looking for a candidate who is flexible, exhibits lateral thinking and creativity, can maintain a positive attitude in the face of a deadline, and is willing to learn new things. Our office is located in the coworking space The Startup Orgy, so you will be exposed to the best that the Amsterdam startup scene has to offer.
