Precify uses ‘Internet of Things’ and sensor technologies for measuring dynamic field level micro-climate data and analyzes that data for forecasting disease and pest incidence to provide customized agricultural advisory to farmers. Precify has a mission to support smallholder farmers in developing countries by increasing productivity, profitability, and environmental sustainability. Dynamic, hyper-local farm level information can make advisory more accurate. With the help of crop and disease models, the information collected through sensors and other devices can be analysed to give precise and timely insights. Technologies such as IOT have the potential to not only increase automation but also reduce the excess use of agri-inputs thereby reducing the cost and environmental footprint. Precify plans to achieve this by making IOT technology accessible, affordable and acceptable at the Indian farm gate. Precify is incorporated by alumni from IIM-Ahmedabad, Pennstate with extensive experience in management, research, and building start-ups.
