Poppin is a new app that is changing how people meet. Dating apps generate millions of matches every day all over the world, but do these people really meet in real life? Recently, Tinder revealed some data showing that only 0.5% of the matches meet each other in real life. This is the biggest paradigm of online dating: plan a date is a situation that involves a lot of commitment and risk.

Poppin is the first dating app in the world that, instead using the GPS to show random people nearby, uses the Facebook Events Attendees list (over 100 million people use the tool every day) to show only who the user will encounter, in a much more casual and friendly place to meet new people.
We conducted a research with Poppin users (about 500 respondents for now) and the data shows that 45.8% of the Poppin matches meet in real life, which makes Poppin the next disruption of the online dating industry.
