People at Plexus

Venture-backed technical founders often feel pressure to find a paying initial market. And so, they find other technical people or for well-resourced companies. Then, they try to move mainstream, and can’t. Why? Interfaces built for technical people usually don’t have appeal to non-technical people. We’ve established Plexus as a Public Benefit Corporation so that we can adopt a more difficult and fulfilling aim: enable broad participation on the internet. We strive to build tools accessible to our parents, to our non-technical classmates, to kids who have dropped out of high school, to our friends who shy away from new tech. Because, if all kinds of people can participate, the communities we architect can grow broader, and ultimately, democracy may grow stronger.
