There are over 3 billion gamers worldwide. The game industry is larger than the movie and music industries combined. With cloud gaming and services like Game Pass, more people are getting into gaming as the financial and technical barrier to entry is removed. This is bringing games to a wider audience that hasn’t been reached before. But there’s still a barrier to social interaction. Our mission is to make social gaming safe and easy for everyone, 60% of teens and 83% of adults experience harassment in online games. Women, LGBTQ+, and POC are especially affected. The Co-CEOs are lifelong gamers and Trust & Safety executives who have experience leading operations and building a team from scratch to 140 people. We like to be scrappy and do things that make sense for Playsum, and not worry if it’s something other companies do.
