The fast growing $25B market for urban/infill home construction is extremely fragmented, comprised mostly of small-scale general contractors (GC) who generally have a poor reputation for the quality of their work, and are notorious for cost and time overruns. Our patented building system will give us an unprecedented ability to build high quality, custom, single and multi-family homes 2-3x faster and with 10-30% less cost and waste than typical site-based GC. Plant’s CEO has founded or co-founded a number of successful companies, including Clearview Software (sold to Apple), idealab, and PeopleLink. Plant’s General Manager is a senior executive who has supervised the construction of over 12,000 prefabricated homes. We begin operations with a $13M book of business from LivingHomes, a leader in sustainable design.
