Pierce Water Rescue careers
The Quickcollar (QC) is the result of 25 years of R&D into new water rescue equipment. It is a fully developed, tested and professionally recommended device for executing and assisting water rescues by both professionals and non-professionals. Developed initially for short haul rescues from helicopters, years of further professional development proved that it's best use is for first responders and concerned citizens in assisting and executing water rescues by buying time for water rescue teams to arrive on scene or, if no water rescue teams can respond, performing the rescue themselves. The product is fundamentally a throwbag (bag of rope, football sized) with our patented autoinflating CO2 charged collar folded up inside the bag. The QC is tossed or dropped to the victim in the water and, upon contact with the water, the collar automatically pops out of the bag to instantly supply a flotation device, a lifting collar and establishing a lifeline.
