Phase Sensors is actively helping to reduce the environmental impact of oil and gas extraction and upgrading. Specifically, Phase Sensors has developed a great new optically heated and optically measured fouling technology and with the help of Alberta Innovates will have the funding needed to bring this technology to market and introduce it to refineries and testing labs worldwide. Phase Sensors also helps oil and gas producers prevent environmental challenges by actively monitoring pressures, temperatures, and fluid properties in hostile environments. By enabling monitoring of pressures and temperatures in SAGD wells at temperatures in excess of 300°C Phase Sensors will allow for instrumentation to monitor and ensure the integrity of caprock on shallow thermal oil recovery operations. We have a track record of bridging the gap between advanced microfabrication techniques and practical problems that need solving in industry.
