Culture and benefits at Personal Plants
Culture overview
Personal Plants is entirely digital. Our team is in California, Idaho and New York and our expert guides are in both the U.S. and Canada. Personal Plants is truly a 21st century, post COVID model of work. One that does not require and office or regular travel for success, and one that builds on the stay at home culture that has emerged during the pandemic. We are dedicated to the support and amplification of businesses that are conscious and responsive to social issues. We believe that size of a business is not as important as how a business conducts themselves. We also know that larger businesses who can afford to pay more can offset costs for small businesses just getting their footing. We support this model, and hold ALL partner businesses, regardless of size, to the same standards. Any violation of the following will result in the discontinuation of our relationship or the prevention of engaging in a relationship. 1. Proven instances of internal racism, sexism, homophobia or other acts against individuals based on race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, country of origin, religion or ability. 2. Evidence of any of the above on official social media accounts and the accounts of employees and executives at the company without any action taken. 3. Proven donations to any organization that supports the conditions above. Additionally, we will prioritize relationships with businesses that overtly support equality across all groups and are vocal around issues related to social, economic and environmental justice. We will also prioritize, to the extent we can, relationships with women and BIPOC owned businesses. Personal Plants also supports community gardens programs by offering a discount on sponsorships in exchange for donations to local community gardens and provides a way for site visitors to donate directly to a garden. Our first partner is Planting Justice in Oakland, CA
