Without pencils, we would have never learned how to write our names, our grandest buildings might have never been built, and superheroes might never have been sketched.

Traditional wood-based pencils are the result of heavy deforestation. A 20-foot tree needs to be cut down to make 2500 pencils; and there are over 14 billion pencils produced worldwide every year. Think about the number of trees that have been cut . . . to make the pencil you hold in your hand.

With every tree that is cut, global warming and climate change becomes a more shocking reality – massive droughts and floods, melting icecaps, rising seawater levels.

We envision a world with pencils that are 100% eco-friendly. With no wood in them, we offer pencil that gives you the same great writing quality that you would get from a standard 2HB pencil.
