peer me is not a traditional freelance marketplace. it’s not a website dedicated to professionals selling their skills. nor is it a place for corporations to find ‘affordable short-term employees’. peer me is a network, a global community for people to exchange their time for value. you don’t need to have studied and practiced a specialized skill for years in order to post a task on peer me. by design, peer me is intended to be a place that empowers peers to monetize tasks that they like to do, without requiring that the tasks be highly specialized. peer me is about connecting people. on the flip side, we know that everyone has things on their to-do list that they just don’t have the time or the inclination to get to. these are the people we hope to connect, while normalizing the notion of seeking and offering help for everyday tasks.
