PatinaHall is a vintage furniture marketplace for people who would rather spend an evening looking at a beautiful 1960s chair than pretending they are not looking at chairs again.

We bring together independent vintage furniture stores from across Europe, with a focus on mid-century modern furniture, Scandinavian design, Danish Modern, vintage chairs, dining tables, desks, sideboards, cabinets, lighting, mirrors, shelving and other pieces that have already survived a few decades — which is more than can be said for most flat-pack furniture.

The idea is simple: make good vintage furniture easier to find.

Instead of digging through endless generic listings, buyers can browse a more focused collection from dealers who actually know what they are selling. Many of them spend their time travelling, sourcing, restoring, researching and photographing interesting pieces. PatinaHall helps bring those collections together in one place.

We are especially interested in Danish, Dutch, Italian and French mid-century furniture, recognised designers and manufacturers, unusual anonymous pieces, and objects that are simply too good to disappear into somebody’s storage unit.

PatinaHall is also growing into a furniture library.

Our guides cover furniture designers, iconic chairs, materials, construction, design history, buying vintage furniture, identifying quality, caring for older pieces and understanding different periods and styles.

So you might arrive looking for a teak sideboard and accidentally learn why everyone keeps talking about Hans Wegner, what paper cord is, or why one chair costs €200 and another suspiciously similar chair costs €4,000.

The goal is to make PatinaHall useful whether you are buying your first vintage chair, collecting mid-century design, researching a designer, or just wondering what exactly is sitting in your grandmother’s living room.
