Passary careers
Passary exists to remove unnecessary trust from password management.
Most password managers rely on centralized infrastructure, user accounts, background sync, and metadata collection. While convenient, this model expands the attack surface and forces users to trust systems they cannot fully verify.
We are building a local-only, zero-knowledge password manager where encrypted vaults never leave the user’s device. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no centralized vault storage. Encryption and access control happen locally, under the user’s full control.
The hard problem we solve is reducing security risk by design, not by policy. Instead of securing large-scale infrastructure, Passary removes it from the equation.
Our architecture is built around:
- Local-first encryption with device-stored vaults
- Zero-knowledge design, ensuring we cannot access user data
- Offline-by-default operation with no background network dependency
- No behavioral tracking or usage analytics
- A deliberately minimal attack surface by avoiding accounts and centralized services
Passary prioritizes correctness, transparency, and verifiability over convenience-driven tradeoffs. We believe strong security should come from simpler, auditable systems rather than increasingly complex cloud architectures.
The project is currently self-funded and developed by a small, security-focused team with deep experience in software engineering, infrastructure, and data protection. We are building Passary for users who value control, privacy, and long-term trust - including developers, security-conscious individuals, and organizations with strict data-handling requirements.
Our culture is defined by privacy-by-design principles, technical rigor, and building products we would trust with our own most sensitive information.
