P4P Energy has developed a novel, patented, PV panel suspension technology utilizing tensioned cables that markedly improves the economics of PV support structures and opens the door for entirely new solar applications. P4P’s system is positioned to greatly expand installed solar capacity, particularly in market segments that have been seen as cost prohibitive due to siting constraints. The unique canopy structures designed by P4P allow solar to be installed over existing infrastructure such as parking lots, agriculture, transportation corridors, waterways and other challenging applications. The company’s current focus is to translate its design and deployment experience into a highly optimized, cost-efficient product offering that is inexpensive to fabricate, assemble and install. The company has recently been awarded a Department of Energy (“DOE”) grant under the SunShot Program to execute on product development for cost-optimized solar parking canopies.
